Every Journey Begins With a Single Step

Well this is my first post on my own blog. I have been doing most of the posts on The Erics blog for quite a while now. However I now feel the need to have a place to post my own personal musings and rants. So this will be it!

Cheers for the really good comments Phil. I will respond (at length) to some of the things you have touched on, especially about me views on sin, in future blog entries. But I can say now that I find myself agreeing with most of what you say. The knowledge of what is right and wrong and where we have fallen short of what we would like to be is really as far as I go down the road of sin in a biblical/religious sense. I do however have a need for fogiveness as I said in the blog post. The nearest to a 'religious experience' that i have had was a sudden feeling of total acceptance for who and what I am (warts and all). I hold onto that experience as at the time It helped me to redirect my life and to become a happier calmer individual.

I suppose I use the word sinner in the sense of my wilful repeating of behaviours that I know are bad for me and those I love. But I dont destroy myself over It because I know I am accepted despite even these 'faults'. As indeed we all are if we care to seek out the acceptance.
